Since graduating in May, I’ve started apprenticing as a cheesemaker at a fledgling sheep creamery in north Georgia. It’s not what I expected, but I’m enjoying it! I’m learning to make cheese, care for sheep, and maintain a small-scale farm. Additionally, I’ve been asked to research how to turn one of the fields on the farm into a native meadow to improve the soil and feed the sheep at the same time. I’ll likely be doing this for a few years, and I’m excited to see where it goes!
