I’m Brigit and I graduated from Hamilton in 2021. I just successfully defended my Master’s research in Ecology and Environmental Science at the University of Maine, in which I conducted research on small mammal personality and its ecological implications. After a trip to Italy this summer for small mammal trapping in the Alps and presenting my research at the European Congress of Conservation Biology in Bologna, I will begin a PhD position staying here at UMaine studying the impacts of PFAS in game species in Maine, including moose, deer, turkeys, and ducks. As a senior at Hamilton in Andrea’s lab, I quantified PFAS in Oneida County streams, so I am looking forward to continuing ecotoxicology research with this new project!
