Hello!
John Myles ‘2024 here. After working in the Townsend Lab for my whole time in college, I have returned back to my hometown to start my PhD in the Integrative Biology (IB) department at UC Berkeley. I will be studying sunbirds (Nectariniidae) and Flowerpeckers (Dicaeidae) and maybe some other fun stuff, with a particular interest in birds’ adaptations to high-elevation environments and convergent evolution.
Thank you so much to the Andrea and the rest of the Townsend Lab for being so wonderful, hardworking, nerdy, supportive, and overall making my undergraduate experience so fulfilling. I look forward to seeing all the amazing work that comes out of the lab in the future.
