Through the Looking Glass: Lucy Brinkman ’21

Through my project, I wanted to capture the feeling of unease and unpredictability we are currently experiencing. I wanted to evoke the sense of being trapped by framing each picture with the window or doorway, as well as a dystopian ambiance though the application of black and white. I attempted to further emulate this with the cage like structure with gel transfers as windows built from wood to reference architectural models and the architecture that surrounds us. I used a Nikon D3500 and a circular polarizing lens.
