Cyanotypes: Sarah Ferdinand ’22

For my cyanotype project I revisited the subject matter of architecture and revisited Utica. The most featured site is the old Utica Psychiatric Center, originally called the New York State Lunatic Asylum. I was fascinated by both the architecture and the history behind this massive building and wanted to document it using an archaic process. I had some trouble with getting the cyanotype exposure/paper right, so lots of my photos came out hazy.
