An Exploration of Light During the COVID-19 Pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way that we see our world. In my own experience, things that once felt familiar and brought me comfort no longer do. The meaning has detached itself from things that felt familiar. In particular, light no longer guides me through the darkness, but instead reminds me that another day has passed. This project emulates how not even light can hep bring us out of the darkness of this pandemic. We no longer rely on things that have brought us comfort in the past, but instead we are faced with a new challenge to seek relief elsewhere. My goal with this project was to create a juxtaposition between light before and during the pandemic. I wanted to capture how the feeling of light has changed during this time.
