A Window on History – The Pinhole Camera
Students explored the history of pinhole photography, and designed and made their own pinhole cameras.
Students constructed color images in Photoshop using three analog black and white negatives, each exposed with a different filter.
Students used digital negatives to create positive cyanotype prints using a UV exposure unit.
Using their own or appropriated photographs, students used acrylic gel to transfer images to paper or to 3D objects.
Students developed final projects incorporating one of the alternative processes studied in the course.
